In Turkmenistan, a "Literature Reader" for the 6th grade with Russian as the Language of Instruction has been published (compiled by G. Atadurdyyeva, L. Kasparova, S. Musayeva). It has been developed in accordance with the curriculum and its requirements.

A textbook on the subject "Natural Science" for Grade 3 with Russian as the Language of Instruction in general education secondary schools has been published in Turkmenistan (authors: Zhanna Mashtakova, Annagozel Atdayeva, Ashyr Keshikov).

UNICEF in partnership the Ministry of Education made another significant step towards realization of inclusive education in Turkmenistan. To implement this initiative, two secondary schools, 27 and 74, and two kindergartens, 160 and 14, have been selected to implement inclusive education principles and creating an environment where children with disabilities and special requirements can thrive in mainstream education settings.
