Nationalization of the oil industry in Turkmenistan: from revolution to restoration
In Balkanabat, the capital of oil workers, there is a monument to the pioneers who explored these areas in search of mineral resources, helping to reduce the "white spots" on the geological map of the country. A significant contribution to this was made by Academician Ivan Gubkin, the founder of the Russian school of geologists, whose name is given to the Institute of Oil and Gas in Moscow, who played a key role in the establishment of a similar educational institution in Turkmenistan
