JSC National Company QazaqGaz, which is the main gas company in Kazakhstan, signed a new gas export contract with the Chinese oil and gas company PetroChina. The agreement is valid for 2023-2026.

Kazakh, Azerbaijani and Georgian railways entered into a deal to create a joint venture on a parity basis. The new company will be called Middle Corridor Multimodal Ltd. and will provide “one-stop services”, guarantee delivery times and pursue a coordinated policy for the development of multimodal services in the China-Europe and Turkey-China directions.

In the west of Turkmenistan, in the Turkmenbashi district of the Balkan region, the foundation of a combined power plant with a capacity of 1574 MW will be laid.
