The growth rate of liquefied natural gas production in Turkmenistan in January- March 2024 amounted to 109.4%. For other types of production in the divisions of the state concern Turkmennebit, the indicators correspond to the planned tasks or slightly exceed them.

In the first quarter of 2024, Turkmenistan's GDP growth remained at 6.3%. In the sectoral context of the GDP structure, the largest percentage growth compared to the period January-March 2023 was recorded in trade – 8.2. The service sector is also progressing – 7.6. This indicator in the transport and communications sector was 6.6, industry - 4.7, agriculture – 4.1.

Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have agreed to establish a joint venture between the railway administrations of the two countries to develop the Trans-Afghan railway route.
