The organizing committee of the VIII Moscow International Festival "Sounds of Dutar" named after Nury Halmamedov announced the start of accepting applications for the artistic competition of illustrations of poetry of the East "Reflection" from March 1. The competition is held under the auspices of the Russian Academy of Arts in honor of the anniversary of Magtymguly Pyragy, whose 300th anniversary was included in the UNESCO list of memorable dates.

The corresponding decision was signed by the Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov, the republic's media reported on Tuesday. According to the document, the Yanardag State Historical, Cultural and Natural Reserve and the Alidashi Sanctuary in the village of Muhammedli, dating back to the 17th-18th centuries, have been added to the “Architectural Monuments” section of the List of Immovable Historical and Cultural Monuments of Local Significance.

“The bright colors and mesmerizing melodies of hot Turkmenistan were presented to St. Petersburg residents at the Russian Ethnographic Museum,” the St. Petersburg TV channel reported.

The British Library will become the location for the filming of one of the episodes of the documentary film “The Legacy of the Manuscripts of Magtymguly Fragi.” The subject of interest to the creators of the film, as well as scientists from Turkmenistan, will be copies of the original manuscripts of the great thinker and poet, which are stored in the National Library of Great Britain.

The forum will be held on March 27, the day after the start of the events dedicated to the declaration of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024.
