New Year's gifts come in different forms: for children, family and relatives, friends and colleagues... But an Ashgabat schoolboy decided to make a gift to his “native” educational institution. And this is neither more nor less, but an original sculptural composition!

On the initiative of the international organization TURKSOY, the Union (Association) of Cinematographers of the Turkic World was created in Tashkent. The founding meeting was attended by leaders of the film industry of Turkic-speaking countries.

A gala concert dedicated to the 30th anniversary of TURKSOY was held in Paris, at the headquarters of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

A solemn meeting was held at the Moscow House of Nationalities with the participation of Turkmen citizens living in Russia, as well as Turkmen students studying at Moscow universities. The meeting took place on December 12 and was dedicated to the 28th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality celebrated on this day.

The exhibition of decorative, applied and mosaic art of Turkmenistan and Iran is taking place in Mary on December 14-15. The exposition was organized in the regional Museum of Local Lore, and representatives of the Iranian Embassy and the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan visited its opening. The cultural event is attended by masters of folk crafts of the two countries, as well as musicians and singers who accompanied the opening day with national melodies.
