Strong applause was given for the Italian public pianist Roberto Proseda by Ashgabat audience, who performed in the Turkmen capital with a concert in honor of the 40th anniversary of the death of the Italian composer Nino Rota.
The concert was opened by the overture from Joachino Rossini’s Italian opera in Algeria performed by the Turkmen State Symphony Orchestra conducted by Rasul Klychev.
– Italy is located far from Turkmenistan. But culture, and in this case music, unites two countries, their peoples. And today’s concert is another proof of the construction of a cultural bridge between Turkmenistan and Italy,” Italian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Diego Ungaro said in his opening speech.
And here on the stage is a virtuoso who conquered the world stages with his talent, who performed with famous orchestras of Great Britain, Russia, and Belgium. In Ashgabat, he presented the famous works of famous Italian composers which, in his interpretation, sounded fresh and “charming”.
Even the well-known delightful melody of Nino Rota from the film “The Godfather” captivated the audience anew, as if heard for the first time.
Proseda is not just a performer of music, but a person who “lives” in it, it flows in his veins like blood. When he plays, the whole atmosphere around is filled with a special, radiant, sparkling energy that charges the audience with sublime and noble feelings, wonderful emotions.
The concert program also included the music of Turkmen composers Rejep Rejepov and Aman Agadzhikov, and the symphony orchestra again pleased the audience with an elegant sound, a rich palette of bright colors and a high level of performance art.
