The Koytendag State Nature Reserve has every chance of being included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, according to an article published in the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan" following the conference of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO.
The secretary of the national commission, Chinar Rustemova, stated the need to present the features of the Koytendag Nature Reserve, which other natural systems do not have. There are quite a lot of such features, as the secretary noted, as evidenced by the conclusions of the international expedition.
She also expressed hope that the day is not far off when the Koytendag State Nature Reserve, on the territory of which there are unique natural monuments, will be included in this List.
At the conference, organized with the participation of the Central Council of the Women's Union, the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization, and the administration of the Lebap region, the tasks that need to be completed in order to include the Koytendag Nature Reserve in the UNESCO World Heritage List were discussed.
