World leaders, heads of neighboring states and friendly countries congratulate Turkmenistan on Independence Day, sending holiday telegrams to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
“Your country is confidently moving along the path of socio-economic development. Following the policy of neutrality, Ashgabat makes a significant contribution to ensuring stability and security in Central Asia,” wrote Russian President Vladimir Putin in a congratulatory message. “We attach great importance to the relations of strategic partnership with Turkmenistan,” stressed the head of the Russian Federation.
President of the United States Donald Trump, congratulating on behalf of the American people, wrote, “For almost three decades, the United States of America has been a partner of Turkmenistan, and we will continue this tradition in the future, supporting the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of your country.” The Head of the White House also noted that “Turkmenistan plays an important role in the prosperity of Central and South Asia, especially in such areas as energy security and transport”.
President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping said, “I pay great attention to the development of Chinese-Turkmen relations and value the traditional friendship between our countries. I am ready to make joint efforts with you for furthering systematic development of the bilateral strategic partnership and bringing it to a new level for the benefit of both countries and peoples.
The Chinese leader noted that under the leadership of President Berdimuhamedov, “Turkmenistan maintains a long-term stable political environment, the economy is developing dynamically, and the society is calm and harmonious.”
“Dear brother, – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan addressed his Turkmen counterpart, congratulating “the fraternal Turkmen people on the 29th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.” He called Turkmenistan “a center of great opportunities” and expressed confidence that his “visit to Turkmenistan, which was planned for April this year, can be carried out in the near future”.
German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier assured that “Germany will continue to be a partner of Turkmenistan in the future in regional cooperation of great importance in Central Asia, in countering the threats and challenges of our time, when it is especially important to act together and have the determination to take steps towards economic modernization and democratic development.”
The message of Elizabeth II, Queen of Great Britain, says, “It gives me great pleasure to send warm congratulations to Your Excellency, as well as best wishes to the Turkmen people”.
King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud also wrote that he was happy to send “on his own behalf, on behalf of the people and government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the sincerest congratulations and heartfelt wishes”.
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev said in his congratulatory message, “We are very pleased that as a result of comprehensive reforms in the country (Turkmenistan – ed.), the standard of living of the population is improving everywhere, huge creative work is being done, new beautiful cities are being built, and large modern infrastructure facilities are being built.”
“Thanks to joint efforts, the strategic partnership between our countries is steadily strengthening in all priority areas, including trade and economic, transport, water, energy, agriculture, cultural, humanitarian and other important areas,” emphasized the Uzbek leader.
President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also wrote that Kazakhstan is sincerely happy with the success of Turkmenistan, and expressed confidence that “an active political dialogue at the highest level will continue to serve as a solid basis for the progressive expansion of the Kazakh-Turkmen strategic partnership”.
The message of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon after the holiday greetings told, “I am convinced that by joint efforts we will be able to realize the huge potential available to activate partnership and achieve the great goals set in the interests of our peoples and the region as a whole”.
Sooronbay Jeenbekov, the Head of Kyrgyzstan, also shared confidence that “the strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan, based on mutual trust and friendly relations, will continue to strengthen and develop for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries”.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev also added to the congratulations, “I remember with warmth your official visit to Azerbaijan in March of this year, our meetings and sincere negotiations.”
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko highlighted, “The Republic of Belarus highly values friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan. I am sincerely convinced that through joint efforts we will be able to ensure the deepening of Belarusian-Turkmen relations for the benefit of the prosperity of our countries and peoples”.
The heads of states wished the Turkmen leader good health, new successes and achievements in a responsible state post, and peace, happiness and welfare to the people of Turkmenistan.
