The export of Turkmen goods to the UK, according to a report by the State Statistics Committee of Turkmenistan, increased 14 times in the period January-March 2019 compared to the same for 2018.
Deliveries from Turkmenistan to Uzbekistan increased 5.4 times (excluding the volume of oil exports by foreign companies in accordance with the terms of the PSA), 4.3 times to Belarus, 2 times to the USA.
A significant increase was also noted in exports to Kazakhstan (90%) and the Russian Federation (56.7%).
In general, in the first three months of the year, exports of Turkmenistan amounted to more than 2.3 billion US dollars, which is 14.9% higher than the same period of 2018.
At the same time, its value increased, in particular, natural gas, cement, textiles, raw silk, iodine, licorice extract, flour confectionery, vegetable and fruit processing products, and mineral fertilizers.
As for the import of the country, the largest increase was observed in the following countries: France, the Netherlands, Poland, and Uzbekistan.
In January – March 2019, Turkmenistan had foreign trade relations with 88 countries of the world, the main of which are China, Turkey, Italy, Afghanistan, and the United Arab Emirates.
