Uzbekistan will gradually ease quarantine restrictions

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a video conferencing meeting on ensuring full-scale activities of industrial enterprises, the construction sector and infrastructure, the Uzbek media reported.

At the meeting beginning, the head of Uzbek state drew attention to the issue of supporting socially vulnerable segments of the population. The necessity was pointed out for the further expansion of the targeted provision of food and medicine to needy and temporarily unemployed families.

Turning to the agenda, Shavkat Mirziyoyev instructed the Special Republican Commission to gradually ease the quarantine restrictions in regions, districts and cities where no cases of coronavirus were detected or the epidemiological situation improved. At the facilities that have restored their activity, work will be organized in strict compliance with sanitary and hygienic rules.

As was noted at the meeting, all types of further construction work would be allowed subject to full compliance with quarantine rules. The Ministry of Internal Affairs was instructed to create conditions for the movement of vehicles of industrial enterprises and manufacturers of building materials.
