The Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan has put up for auction 65 objects of state and municipal property, which will be sold by auction to the new owners.
In accordance with the legislation of Turkmenistan on privatization of state property, the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan has announced at its website the next auction on sale of state property to be held on December 25, 2019, the ministry informs.
The objects of the Ministry of Construction and Architecture, the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection, the Agency “Turkmenavtoulaglary”, the Ministry of Textile Industry, the State Concern “Turkmengaz”, the administrations of Lebap and Mary provinces are among objects to be sold.
The list of objects includes shops, shopping centers, warehouses, car garages and auto repair shops, restaurants, markets, administrative and industrial facilities, greenhouses, teahouses and canteens, bakeries, pasta and sausage shops, canning and preserving enterprises, sausage shops, livestock farm, sewing and carpet workshops.
According to the Ministry of Finance and Economy, citizens of Turkmenistan and foreign states, as well as non-state legal entities of Turkmenistan and legal entities of foreign states, who have submitted an application in the established form, have made a deposit and special fee and have passed registration for participation in the auction in the scheduled date, are allowed to participate in the auction.
Foreign legal entities, international organizations established according to the legislation of foreign states, their permanent missions and branches in Turkmenistan could participate in the privatization of state property as long as the conclusion of the Agency for Protection against Economic Risks under the Ministry of Finance and Economics is provided.
Consultations on the procedure for participation in the auction and the provision of additional information on the privatization objects are carried out by the Department of Property Relations and Enterprise Support of the Ministry of Finance and Economy as well as by specialized departments in provinces and capital administrations. All bidders are given the opportunity to be pre-informed about the privatization object.
Earlier, President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted “the privatization process is aimed to support the competitiveness of the national economy, the profitability of industrial production, to promote investment activity, as well as dynamic development of entrepreneurship.” The leader of Turkmenistan said the industrial complex of the country to be privatized completely.
