In the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education counted up the quantity of students from abroad which were trained in high schools of the Russian Federation in 2019. As the «Komsomolskaya Pravda» informs, following the results of this calculation the rating of the countries, residents of which prefer to get education in high schools of the Russian Federation, was made.

The five of leaders included the countries of Central Asia and China. The greatest number of students in 2019 arrived in Russia from Kazakhstan – 44 thousand students. The second place was taken by Turkmenistan which has about 30 thousand persons in the Russian higher educational institutions. Citizens of Uzbekistan who arrived in Russia for education made up 23, 5 thousand. The number of students from the Celestial Empire exceeded 15 thousand.

The Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education pointed out that most of all foreign students want to become economists, experts in international relations and lawyers.

As the site «Russian world» informed, in the middle of January registration for participation in competitive selection for continuation of education in the Russian high schools by the governmental quota, was opened. Applications who want to continue education in Russia at the expense of the federal budget, it is necessary to apply to the representation office of Rossotrudnichestvo in their countries. In the absence of such representation office selection of applicants is held by the embassy of the Russian Federation.

High schools of the Russian Federation are popular among Turkmen applicants. Here the big role is played by a wide experience of joint “residing” of Turkmenistan and Russia under a single state. Graduates of Turkmen schools, basically, know Russian well that facilitates training process. The Turkmen youth also prefers to get higher education in Turkey, Ukraine and Belarus.
