During these difficult days of the fight against coronavirus infection, Turkmenistan provided humanitarian assistance to Iran. This was reported by the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan.

“Being committed to the primordial traditions of good neighborliness and high humane values, the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree according to which humanitarian aid, consisting of necessary supplies, including medical supplies, was transferred to the Islamic Republic of Iran in connection with the increase in cases of acute respiratory diseases caused by a new coronavirus infection in the territory of a fraternal country,” the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Iran’s IRNA reported today that on Thursday a Turkmen batch of 1,000,000 medical security masks was delivered to Iran via the Lot Abad border.

In an interview with IRNA, Iran’s ambassador to Turkmenistan, Golam Abbas Arbab Khalez, said humanitarian aid also includes water and food.
