Turkmenistan has given the equipment for power supply system of Afghanistan as humanitarian aid

The next hand-over of the equipment for the electric power system of the neighbouring country Afghanistan by Turkmenistan became a good will gesture.

The humanitarian cargo this time was the step down transformer which decreases voltage from 220 thousand volts to 110 and 20 kW for transmission to the power network, and other technical devices which will help to provide uninterrupted power supply and to increase capacities for receiving the raised volumes of electric power delivered from Turkmenistan.

In this regard, in the city of Turgundi, the province of Herat, an official action during which on behalf of local residents they expressed a gratitude to the Turkmen people for big brotherly support of peace processes and social and economic restoration of Afghanistan.

Turkmenistan, besides electric power delivery under the reduced rate, has constructed in the territory of the neighbouring provinces some social objects, regularly sends consignments of humanitarian aids, the first consignment of gasoline, made at the new factory in Akhal, also has been sent to Afghanistan as symbolical hand shake.

Among the large integration projects realised for today, – the gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India, high-voltage power transmission lien and optic -fibre line of TAP and transport projects.
