Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia identify vectors of economic interaction

Consultations between the foreign ministers of Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia on issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as topics of the regional and international agenda were held via videoconference on Thursday.

Rashid Meredov and Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud outlined the current directions for the development of the Turkmen-Saudi dialogue, having agreed to exchange visits of delegations as soon as it becomes possible with the stabilization of the epidemiological situation in the world.

Top diplomats of the two countries discussed topics of mutual interest in inter-parliamentary, trade and economic cooperation, highlighting such industries as oil and gas, gas chemical, agriculture complex, textile and construction.

The ministers also discussed mechanisms for attracting investment in economic projects, including those to increase the production capacity of the industrial sector of Turkmenistan.
