Turkmen sambo wrestlers won seven more medals at the World Cup in Moscow

The bank of the Turkmen team was replenished with one silver and six bronze awards on the final day of the Sambo World Cup “Kharlampiev Memorial” in Moscow.

The silver medal in sports sambo in the weight category up to 62 kg was awarded to Yusup Ismailov, who conceded to the representative of the tournament hosts – Vladimir Berezovsky.

Batyr Durdyev (up to 52 kg), Ruslan Yusupov (up to 62 kg), Rusdum Pendzhiev (up to 74 kg), Asian champions Jovlanbek Madaminov (up to 90 kg) and Babadzhan Ivadullayev (over 100 kg) won the Bronze World Cup in combat sambo among men, Gulnar Khaitbaeva – among girls (64 kg).

The first day of the Cup brought five medals to samboists from Turkmenistan – two silver and three bronze. The main competitors were athletes from Russia and Belarus.

The result of the tournament is a good bid of the Turkmen wrestlers as the hosts of the 2020 World Cup.
