Turkmen journalists to take part in Bishkek conference on media issues in terms of digitalization

On July 17-18, 2019, the 21st annual conference “Freedom and Pluralism of the Media in the Context of Digital Transformation” will be held in Bishkek.

This event will be attended by media representatives from more than 100 countries and journalists from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. The meeting will discuss the use of modern media technologies, challenges and opportunities for digitalization. The creation of a secure Internet space at the national level and throughout the OSCE region is also on the agenda.

Electronic media in Turkmenistan are actively developing today as the most timely sources of information. The number of online publications in the country is growing, some of which will be presented at the Central Asian conference in Bishkek. In addition to the correspondents of the websites from the country, the television staff will also speak.
