Turkmen journalists improve the skills at the TASS courses

On January 23, 2020 in Moscow, an extension course for media representatives organized by the Cooperation Fund for Russian language foreign media has launched. The workshop brought together 40 correspondents from Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, Estonia and the Czech Republic.

The event is co-organized by the TASS News Agency and has a rich program that includes various workshops, lectures and practical training sessions with leading teachers of the Faculty of Journalism of the Moscow State University. They will share with the guests the secrets of the profession of a correspondent in the context of digitization of modern media. In addition, the issues related to the new formats of journalism, convergent sites, the relationship between the media and social networks will be discussed.

“For the first time, such training format is applied,” the organizers said. “Under the rapidly growing media market, in the activity of a modern journalist, the exchange of experience and techniques between media representatives from different countries is important.”

It is worth to note that correspondents of different ages attend the extension course, as it is never too late to improve journalistic skills.
