A 4-day workshop for football referees from different regions of the country, organized by the Football Federation of Turkmenistan as a part of preparation for the new game season, started in Ashgabat.
The main goal of the seminar is to provide a unified interpretation of the rules of the game to ensure that local matches meet the international standards, Allabergen Sapayev, the international judge and FIFA instructor for training football judges, says.
The quality of the football game depends on not only the players, but also the referees, who should regulate the course of the game, to be objective and to be unprejudiced. Being on the field, they should be on the side of the fans, so that they can enjoy a fair and exciting game.
For this, the Football Federation of Turkmenistan invites famous world-class judges to train local referees. Today, the program of such master classes has moved to a new stage, when Turkmen referees, who have already passed the training of eminent judges, are training a new generation of students.
On the first day of training, the participants reviewed the new rules introduced by the International Football Federation.
The practical part of the workshop consists of group tasks on the analysis of individual moments of the game.
In addition to theoretical course, the program includes tests on physical training, video tests that will check the judges’ readiness to serve games within the new season of tournaments.
