Turkmen diplomatic mission in Yerevan gave a solemn reception

The Embassy of Turkmenistan to Armenia organized a reception in honor of the 28th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan.

Vice-speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Vahe Enfiajyan, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Zaruhi Batoyan, representatives of other ministries and departments of Armenia, employees of diplomatic missions accredited to the country, as well as representatives of business circles, scientific intelligentsia and mass media were the party’s honorary guests.

In his complimentary speech, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Armenia Mukhammetgeldi Ayazov noted that independence demonstrated the unity, patriotism and peacefulness of the Turkmen people to the whole world. At present, relations with other countries of the world, including Armenia, have reached a qualitatively new level.

– Two sovereign states successfully cooperate not only in the bilateral format, but also within the framework of international structures. This is evidenced by the mutual support of international initiatives and proposals, put forward within the framework of authoritative international organizations, – said the ambassador.

In his turn, Deputy Head of MFA of the Republic of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan emphasized that Turkmenistan is an important partner for Armenia, which the country has strong historical ties with.

The Armenian diplomat also focused on trade and economic relations, the development of which is of great importance in the multilateral agenda of the two countries and called for the search of new ways to further expand economic cooperation and realize the potential in this area.

“Our countries also cooperate effectively in the field of culture, science and education,” Shavarsh Kocharyan said, expressing hope that the Turkmen-Armenian cooperation will continue to develop.
