Karakum Desert Race in Turkmenistan will be the third stage of the FIA World Cup for Cross Country Rallies next year.
The 2019 schedule was officially confirmed by the FIA meeting of the World Motor Sport Council in St. Petersburg. It was published on the FIA website.
According to the information, the 2019 FIA World Cup for Cross Country Rallies will have five events and start in Qatar, which will be held on February 21-26. The second round will be held in UAE on March 30 – April 04.
Turkmen rally raid – Turkmen Desert Race – will be the third event of the world race to be held on May 5-11. The next race is Rally Kazakhstan that will be held on May 26 – June 01. The championship will end in Morocco on October 04-08.
Turkmen Desert Race, or Amul-Hazar Race, debuted with great success in September 2018, gathering in Turkmenistan about 80 crews from more than 20 countries, including famous pilots. They run across the country from east to west through the Karakum Desert along the route of the Great Silk Road.
