Economists note the activation of investment activities of Turkmen small and medium-sized business in agriculture and industrial production. On September 14, at an expanded government session of Turkmenistan, these issues were discussed, “Vatan” Program of the Turkmen State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company informs.
As it was mentioned at the session, there are more than 1015 enterprises of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan work in agro-industrial complex. These companies produce a wide range of agricultural and food products that satisfy a local demand and exported abroad.
In the industrial sphere, there are 597 enterprises, which produce construction materials, chemicals, textiles, carpets, furniture, faience, glass products, as well as metal, polyethylene and plastic products.
For these products position, Turkmen business satisfies the local demand, while the surplus of the products is exported. Thus, for seven months of this year, the increase in supplies of these goods was 68.7 percent as compared to the same period of 2017.
