Bodybuilders from Turkmenistan won 6 medals at the 10th Central Asian Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships, which ended in Almaty. The championships gathered about 100 athletes.
Silver award in the “Male Bodybuilding” category was awarded to Vepa Nurnazarov (up to 65 kg), “bronze” in the same category went to Dmitry Yenikeyev (up to 100 kg) and Gennadiy Amelin (over 100 kg).
In up to 175 cm height category, Irada Abbasova won silver medal in the “Women’s Athletic Physique” discipline, called otherwise “Athlete Physique”, and Rustam Karayev took the third place in the “Men’s Athletic Physique”.
Another representative of the Turkmen team – Gulnara Begencheva (up to 170 cm) – took the third place in the “Model Physique” category.
Thus, in the team standings, the national team of Turkmenistan took the third position and became one of the first winners of the Central Asian Cup. In the previous year, the Turkmen team had 5 medals
In November, Turkmen bodybuilders will compete at the World Bodybuilding and Fitness Championships to be held in Seoul.
