The third export flight from Minsk delivered more than 100 citizens of Turkmenistan to their homeland

The board of the Turkmen Airlines delivered 102 more citizens of the country from Belarus to their homeland on Monday evening. “Boeing-737-800” made a flight from Minsk to Turkmenabat, and now everyone arriving in accordance with the rules will undergo a two-week quarantine.

Basically, these are graduates of Belarusian universities who were unable to fly home on time due to the restrictions imposed on international air traffic due to COVID19.

ORIENT contacted the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Minsk and specified that among the arrived 49 people were students who studied at the Baranovichi State University, and 27 people from the Mogilev State University named after A. Kuleshov, as well as graduates of other universities.

It also turned out that among those who arrived by this charter there is one “non-citizen”, and it turned out to be … the special representative of the UN Secretary General, head of the Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy with headquarters in Ashgabat – Natalya Gherman.

This is the third evacuation flight from Belarus organized by Turkmenistan as part of the phased return of its citizens who were unable to return at the scheduled time due to restrictions on air communications.

Earlier, in August-September, as we wrote, 526 citizens of the country were brought back home from Belarus.
