The strategic partnership between UNDP and Turkmenistan has been reinforced by new documents

A number of strategic documents on cooperation have been signed between the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Turkmen Government.

Among them are Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan and UNDP on cooperation in the field of sustainable development of the electric power industry; joint project of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, UNDP and UNCTAD “Single Window for Export-Import Operations”; joint project of the Civil Service Academy under the President of Turkmenistan and UNDP “Capacity Building of the Academy of Civil Service under the President of Turkmenistan”; “The implementation of the National Human Rights Action Plan of Turkmenistan for 2021-2025”, a joint project of the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan and UNDP, “Strengthening the institutional capacity of the Ombudsman’s office of Turkmenistan for 2021-2022” between the Ombudsman’s office and UNDP; the extension of the project “Strengthening the Trade Capacity of Turkmenistan”, a joint project of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations and UNDP.

In total, the parties signed more than 20 partnership documents, which are the basis for the next five-year program period from January 1, 2021.
