The head of PETRONAS: on participation in CEF, Kurban bayramy and ecological action

The president of company PETRONAS Tan Sri Wan Zulkiflee bin Wan Ariffin who headed at the forum a representative delegation of the Malaysian oil and gas giant became one of the guests of honour in the CEF – 2019, held in Avaza on August, 12, including participation in the session devoted to cooperation in power energy branch, its directions and prospects.

PETRONAS has become the first foreign company to start development of hydro carbonic deposits on the Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea, and today it is interested in expansion of this productive partnership, offering the possibilities for realisation of projects in the field of petrochemistry and other spheres.

These subjects were discussed at the meeting of the delegation of PETRONAS with the adviser of the president of Turkmenistan on oil and gas issues Yagshigeldi Kakayev The parties noted a fruitful character of mutually advantageous cooperation in the fuel and energy complex and considered ways of its activization.

Tan Sri Wan Zulkiflee bin Wan Ariffin also visited the stand of PETRONAS at the Caspian exhibition of innovative technologies at the International seaport Turkmenbashi and talked to the company personnel.

Throughout the business trip to Turkmenistan on termination of the forum the delegation of PETRONAS went to settlement Gyýanly to celebrate a sacred holiday of Moslems of Kurban bayramy together with employees of the local division. Honoured guests treated traditional pilaf, batyrma and dograma. The high-ranking experts of the company even could participate in preparation of dishes of Turkmen cuisine personally. And, of course, they did not miss the possibility them to taste.

But also delegates did not forget about work. After celebrating they familiarised with the sea terminal for conducting and control of sea operations – both on operating platforms, and on boring installations which were put by the company into operation in early 2019.

The visit of honoured guests was completed with an ecological action – planting of trees round the terminal of PETRONAS territory. One more contribution to microclimate improvement, after all, such small affairs develop into big and important one- preservation of ecological balance in the country and peace on the planet.
