The festival “Sounds of Dutar” is postponed to 2021

The organizers of the 6th Moscow International Art Festival named after Nury Halmamedov “Sounds of Dutar” announced the postponement of planned cultural events for the next year.

In conjunction with measures taken by the government of the Russian Federation to counteract the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus, face-to-face scientific, practical and competitive procedures associated with the arrival of participants from other countries have been postponed.

The list of displaced events for 2021 includes:
1. International Scientific and Practical Conference “The Face of War in the Mirror of Art”;
2. International Competition of Musicians-Performers of various specialties for the best performance of academic music based on ethno-cultural traditions;
3. Competition of composers to create works based on the poems of the poet Kurbannazar Ezizov (dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the lyricist).

In view of the postponement, the Organizing Committee of the competition-festival extends the acceptance of applications until March 1, 2021.

On the site pre-registration and acceptance of applications for participation in scientific conferences and competitions have been extended; all previously received abstracts and competition papers have been saved and are under consideration.

Among the events scheduled for 2020, there will be a concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the composer Orazmuhamed Kurban-Niyazov, and the premiere of the Opera by the composer Mamed Huseinov.

Looking back that the Moscow International Art Festival named after Nury Halmamedov “Sounds of Dutar” has been held since 2015. Every year, various events are organized as part of the festival’s cultural program: conferences, exhibitions, competitions, and thematic meetings.

In 2019, as part of the 5th festival, it was presented an art exhibition dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Honorary member of the Russian Academy of Arts, Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Vladimir Artykov. The current year, inaugurated by the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory, the festival organizers planned to pay special attention to the International Scientific and Practical Conference “The Face of War in the Mirror of Art”.

The exact dates of the 6th Moscow International Festival of Arts “Sounds of Dutar”, conference and competitions will be officially announced in January, 2021.
