The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Tbilisi held an international online conference dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality and the 75th anniversary of the UN.
The event was attended by representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Georgia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, the Georgian Technical University, the University. Grigol Robakidze, the country’s media.
The conference was attended by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Tbilisi Dovletmurat Muratov, UN Resident Coordinator in Georgia, Dr. Sabine Makhl, President of the Georgian Red Cross Society Natia Loladze, Executive Director of TV24 TV channel, Professor, Doctor of Historical Sciences, political scientist, Honored Journalist of Georgia Badri Nachkebia and others.
The speakers congratulated the people of Turkmenistan on a significant date – the 25th anniversary of the country’s neutrality and noted that having declared itself a neutral state, Turkmenistan follows the principles of good neighborliness, mutual respect, justice and equality, implements a foreign policy aimed at global peace, security and well-being throughout the world.
It was especially emphasized that Turkmenistan firmly believes in the future of the UN, will continue to strengthen and build up strategic partnership with this organization, thereby making its contribution to unlocking its potential in the interests of global peace, security and progress.
