Team competitions in tennis among children under 12 years old will start in Ashgabat on June 3. Young tennis players from Kazakhstan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will gather for the qualification tournament for the Asian championship.
These days, the Chairman of the Tennis Federation of Uzbekistan, the winner of seven WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) tournaments, Herod Tulyaganova, will be the guest of honor of the Turkmen capital. She will conduct master classes for athletes.
On the competition fields, it is also planned to sign an agreement on cooperation between the Tennis Federations of Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The document will further strengthen the existing friendly relations between them by organizing joint training sessions in both countries, as well as training courses for trainers.
It should be noted that the team of Turkmenistan has repeatedly held training camps at the Tulyaganova Academy (Pro Tennis Team Iroda Tulyaganova) in Tashkent. The last time the Turkmen tennis players visited the famous athlete was in April of this year.
And now they are ready to rush into battle to win a ticket to the Asian Championships in Kazakhstan, which will be given only to the two best teams.
