The UN Development Program launches the new mobile online game Mission 1.5 to engage the global community in decision-making on climate change. Across all regions, including Central Asia, this campaign offers an easy and fun way to learn about ways that can help stop global climate change or reduce its negative impact.
The campaign is called Mission 1.5 because we must act now to limit global temperature rise to 1.5 degrees Celsius. Mission 1.5 was developed as an online platform that educates people on climate action and connects them with their governments and policymakers.
A player is asked to answer several questions in various directions, including transport, green economy, energy, nature, farms and food. The vote of a player, along with the votes of other people from the same country, will be delivered to the government to make urgent decisions on the climate crisis as they often lack access to reliable information on public opinion on climate action.
There are will be a global vote count, the results of which can be available online.
