Speaking at the international investment forum OGT-2022, General Director of the Turkmen National Oil and Gas Company (NaPeCo) Muskat Pirliev announced his readiness to consider proposals from companies that offer innovative technologies and methods for enhanced oil recovery.

In January 2022, Turkmenistan supplied oil and oil products to Georgia for a total of $13.9 million, which made Ashgabat the second largest supplier of this type of product to this country over the indicated period.

The State Concern "Turkmenneft" and PJSC "Tatneft" will conclude an additional agreement for the provision of services to increase the flow rate of 550 oil wells at the Goturdepe field. The corresponding decree was signed by President Berdimuhamedov on Wednesday.

On Monday, the price of Brent oil exceeded $130 a barrel for the first time since 2008, when the global economic crisis hit the world.

The Government of Turkmenistan plans to undertake in depth modernization of Turkmenbashy and Seyidi oil refineries. Foreign companies have also been involved in tenders, Deputy Prime Minister Shahym Abdrahmanov, who oversees the fuel and energy sector, said at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

At the auction on Friday evening, Brent crude futures for delivery in April 2022 were trading at above $95, having gained more than 4% in price. This is the highest figure since October 2014.

Prices of Brent Crude oil exceeded $88 per barrel for the first time in the last 7 years, according to trading data on the London ICE exchange. Previously, black gold was traded at this price in October 2014.

Global average prices for black gold have started to grow steadily over, according to trading data on major commodity exchanges. On the ICE London, the cost of a barrel of Brent crude oil exceeded $82.

For January-November 2021, repairmen of the “Nebitgazchykarysh» enterprise of the “Turkmenneft” state concern timely repaired and put into operation 503 wells in the Balkan region, the website of the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan reports.
