As a sign of support to countries affected by the coronavirus epidemic, a special campaign is launched in Baku, which involves one of the symbolic buildings in the capital city of Azerbaijan – the Heydar Aliyev Center, Sputnik Azerbaijan reports quoting the Center’s message on Saturday, April 4.
On the eve, a video projection of the national flag of the People’s Republic of China, the first country affected by the new coronavirus epidemic was presented at the building. The installation was accompanied by the musical composition of this country.
A similar support action will be held daily from 8 p.m. until midnight: the state flags of countries affected by the COVID-19 virus pandemic will be projected onto the center building to the accompaniment of relevant music.
The Heyder Aleev Center is a cultural center built on Heydar Aliyev Avenue in Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan. It is a complex building, which includes an auditorium (congress center), a museum, exhibition halls, and administrative offices. It is named after third President of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev. The design of the center was developed in 2007 by architect Zaha Hadid. In 2014, the Center was recognized as the best building in the world – the 2014 Design of the Year Award.
