Summer holidays are in full swing. Some children spend their holidays in children’s recreation centers in Gokdere, others visit relatives, while some of them devote themselves to sports, for example, tennis.
In the summer season, the number of children wishing to go in for this sport has increased remarkably. As commented in the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan, over 50 newcomers have joined the sections, who had never before been engaged in this sport.
Since the beginning of the month, the indoor tennis court of the multi-purpose stadium “Ashgabat” has not been empty. Training is conducted strictly according to schedule all the day long.
Pre-registered children are divided into groups based on age. Under the guidance of qualified trainers, children learn the basics of tennis by means of the necessary equipment, including special simulators for practicing an even toss, correct body rotation and position when striking, a ladder for training legs and, of course, various balls. While some acquire skills in playing tennis, others perform special physical exercises. In general, it’s definitely not boring there.
– One of our main goals is to provoke interest in the child, to make him want to stay in tennis. Therefore, we try to conduct training fascinatingly, coach Mirali Gasanov says.
– In my experience, a person who once came in for tennis no longer wants to leave, tells the trainer smiling, who has been in this sport for many years.
There are children who attend training twice a day. Why not, it is the time of summer holidays, so they can afford it!
– Tennis makes me strong, improves my health, says 7-year-old Enar, who decided to attend the tennis section during the summer holidays. – In addition, I try to read a lot of books during the holidays.
On weekends, feature films and documentaries shows about sports, sports stars, in particular tennis are organized for children, which promote the healthy lifestyle principles among the younger generation.
There are many different ways to organize your summer leisure activities. But the main thing is to do it healthily.
