Sony to pay $ 50,000 for critical PS4 bugs

Sony Interactive Entertainment has launched a public PlayStation Bug Bounty initiative in partnership with HackerOne. The security research community, gamers, and anyone else are invited to test the security of PlayStation 4 (PS4) console and PlayStation Network online service for any vulnerability and earn some money.

Sony offers reward for any discovered flaw, including critical. Rate for finding such a vulnerability starts at $ 50,000. Previously, Sony used the help of the limited research community, but the company announced this program for the broader community.

Let us recall, earlier, Almaz Seyidov from Turkmenistan, trying to download games to his phone, revealed an iPhone system error, and, having informed the Apple company representatives, received a reward of $ 3,500.
