Silence artist: an exhibition of Danatar Charyev’s works opened in Ashgabat

A personal exhibition of the painter Danatar Charyev, dedicated to his 70th birthday, opened in Ashgabat, in the exhibition hall of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan.

His colleagues and friends, fans of the maestro’s work, came to congratulate the artist. The show presents works for 50 years of creative activity of Danatar Charyev – a graduate of the Tashkent Ostrovsky Theater and Art Institute.

– Most of all, father loves to work on landscapes and paintings with historical monuments. There are also new works. For example, the Karrygala series is about the nature of these lands,” says the artist’s daughter Ajemal, a jeweler.

According to her, wherever dad goes, he takes his tools with him to capture the beauty of the world.

Those who knew Danatar Charyev said: “He does not just go and draw, but for a long time he chooses the place that will become the next “hero” of his picture.” Its landscapes breathe the silence of secluded corners, are drunk with sunlight and freshness and seem to radiate peace and tranquility.

The painter also loves to draw his loved ones and relatives. Portraits of his mother or wife Durli reveal the image of a Turkmen woman, the guardian of the hearth.

The maestro himself admits that the main source of his inspiration is children. Communicating with the hero of the day, you feel how much strength and desire to create in him
