Russia will supply protective suits to Turkmenistan

The Russian Federation will supply protective medical suits to Turkmenistan. The fact that such an agreement was reached was announced to the media by the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov.

According to him, due to a decrease in the spread of coronavirus in Russia, the demand for a number of medical items has fallen, in particular for protective masks. And this is a challenge for local enterprises that have increased their production.

D. Manturov emphasized that, as a measure of support, the agency intends to purchase up to 300 million masks to the federal reserve, as well as stimulate the export of medical items.

According to the minister, agreements were reached on the supply of protective suits to Turkmenistan, antiseptics and disinfectants – to the Persian Gulf countries, terminals for measuring temperature – to the United States. He stressed that relevant negotiations are underway with Bulgaria, Serbia and Pakistan.

Denis Manturov also said that Russia has already delivered abroad more than 600 artificial pulmonary ventilation devices – to Uzbekistan, Serbia, Italy and Belarus.

A few days ago, President of Turkmenistan Berdimuhamedov signed a decree according to which the Main Pharmacy Directorate of the Turkmen Ministry of Health will purchase antiviral drugs in Russia.

There are no official reports on the detection of coronavirus in Turkmenistan, but the authorities, as it should be, are preparing for the development of all possible scenarios. For this, a stock of medicines and protective medical devices is being created in the country in order to adequately respond to any scenarios.
