Today, the President of Turkmenistan signed a Decree on strengthening the social protection of health workers, which provides for the provision of supplements to doctors engaged in countering the penetration and spread of a virus infection that has broken out in the world.
In accordance with the document, 15% surcharge of the monthly salary is set for health workers of state medical institutions who take part in protecting the health of citizens from acute infectious diseases.
The document also prescribes that starting from January 1, 2021, employees of state medical institutions in remote, hard-to-reach villages of the country specified in the Decree should be paid 20% surcharge of the monthly salary. 10% surcharge of the monthly salary is set for doctors working in other villages.
The Ministry of Health and Medical Industry, regional authorities are assigned to ensure the rural health workers specified in the Decree to be provided with high-priority private residential buildings being built under state programs, as well as land plots for the construction of residential buildings.
