A ceremony of transfer of archaeological finds which have been found by builders in the northwest of Ashkhabad, took place in the State Museum of the State Culture Centre Turkmenistan.
In the museum well known Turkmen scientists – historians, archaeologists, and also heads of the capital and regional museums gathered. Transfer action of Parthian khoums, which served for once for storage of grains or liquid, passed in an online format.
Participants noted pricelessness of a unique find both for the history of Turkmenistan, and for archaeology as a whole during the ceremony. The found exhibits will help to learn something new about culture, traditions, about way of life of people during those far times, will help to rethink any events of the past.
The archaeological and architectural monuments which reached till our times and have become witnesses of active life along the Great Silk Road, told us much. The important role in origin and active functioning of these ancient caravan routes connecting the East and the West was played by the Turkmen people.
The solemn ceremony continued the work as the conference «Experience of storage of national values in museums». During the conference Director of the National Administration for Preservation, Study, and Protection of Cultural and Historical Monuments of Turkmenistan, Candidate of Historical Sciences Muhammetdurdy Mammedov , Director of the Historical and Cultural National Park «Abiverd» of the National Administration for Preservation, Study, and Protection of Cultural and Historical Monuments of Turkmenistan Ahmet Halmuradov and other experts spoke.
Continuation of the program on research works and archaeological excavations, and also propagation of monuments of history and culture of Turkmenistan, located along the Great Silk Road in 2018-2021 gives still big possibilities for careful preservation of culture and heritage of Turkmen people. And the collections collected in museums, tell about talents of ancestors of Turkmen and unsurpassed diligence of their descendants.
