The urgent tasks facing the parliamentarians of Turkmenistan and the main priorities of legislative work were considered at the meeting of President Berdimuhamedov with parliament members, which took place on February 25 in the capital’s Rukhyet Palace.
The leaders of the parliament of Turkmenistan and the leaders of the country’s political parties informed the head of state about the work to modernize legislation and implement reforms.
In addition, the topics of the meeting were the protection of the rights and interests of citizens and, in particular, women, as well as the work carried out with the Turkmen youth.
Berdimuhamedov, addressing the parliamentarians in his keynote speech, noted the importance of improving the work of legislative mechanisms, implementing economic reforms, introducing digital technologies, and expanding international partnerships.
The President highlighted the importance of widely using the potential of the private sector in all sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan, improving the health care system, conducting work on the conservation and breeding of Ahal-Teke horses.
It is necessary to expand the scale of the work being carried out on the effective use of public funds, regulation of fiscal and monetary relations, stimulation of investment activity, development of financial markets, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said.
The Turkmen leader drew the attention of parliamentarians to the fact that in 2021 it is important to provide for the further development of the state and the achievement of high indicators. And first of all, to ensure reliable social security of the people of Turkmenistan.
In conclusion, the President recalled the large and responsible tasks that the country is facing, having successfully solved which, we can adequately celebrate the 30th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan.
