On January 28, a delegation of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation (IFHC) of the CIS member states will visit Turkmenistan to discuss the organization of the XIV Forum of Creative and Scientific Intelligentsia, which will be held in May of this year in Ashgabat.
The delegation of the MFGS Board, People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Polad Bulbul oglu, Co-Chairman of the MFGS Board, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoi and Executive Director of the MFGS, theater and public figure Anatoly Iksanov will arrive in the Turkmen capital.
The guests will discuss with representatives of the Ministries of Culture and Education, as well as the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, the development of humanitarian partnership in the Commonwealth and plans for further cooperation of the country with the Foundation.
For all the time of holding the Forums have become one of the central regional and international platforms for communication of prominent figures of science and art of the CIS. Politicians of the Commonwealth are also regularly participating in the forums. They discuss the expansion of cooperation in the implementation of joint projects in the field of education, science, culture, tourism and sports, the study of the history and cultural heritage of the partner countries.
Forums of creative and scientific intelligentsia, since 2006, have traditionally been held in the capitals of the countries participating in the Commonwealth of Independent States. Ashgabat has already hosted the VII Forum in 2012. At the same time, the city of Mary was named the cultural capital of the CIS.
