Pre-starting readiness of Turkmenistan for the Summit of CIS Heads of Governments

As part of its chairing in the CIS, Turkmenistan is fully prepared for the coming meeting of the Council of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Heads of Governments to be held in Ashgabat on May 31. The final assignments on holding this summit were ordered during the video conference session of the Cabinet of Ministers held by President Berdimuhamedov.

It was noted that the heads of government of the CIS countries would discuss a wide range of issues to strengthen the economic and humanitarian partnership in the CIS space. On the outcomes of the meeting, a number of documents are expected to be signed. The information briefing, which is scheduled to be held at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on the eve of the summit, would help journalists to provide wide coverage of the upcoming events.

The development of mutually beneficial partnership within the CIS is one of the priority vectors of the foreign policy strategy of Turkmenistan, which, being an associate member of the CIS, actively participates in the events held within the framework of this regional organization that continues to strengthen its authority.
