Turkmenistan's GDP Grew by 6.3%; the Draft 2026 State Budget Has Been Submitted to the Mejlis for Consideration


At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan held on Friday, preliminary macroeconomic results for the first ten months of this year (January–October) were summarized. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Hojamyrat Geldimyradov presented a report to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov demonstrating steady growth in key indicators.
According to the data presented, Turkmenistan's GDP growth rate during the reporting period was 6.3%. Positive dynamics were recorded across all sectors of the economy (January–October 2025 compared to the same period in 2024):
Transport and communications sector: +10.4%
Trade: +9.7%
Services: +8.3%
Construction: +8.1%
Agriculture: +5.2%
Industry: +1.7%
Total output increased by 10.1%.
Budget for 2026
Following his report, Deputy Prime Minister Geldimyradov presented the draft State Budget of Turkmenistan for 2026, as well as the draft Main Directions of Socioeconomic Development and the Investment Program for the coming year.
The draft State Budget was developed in accordance with the "Program of the President of Turkmenistan for Socioeconomic Development of the Country for 2022–2028." It provides for the allocation of capital investments from all funding sources to the development of economic sectors, velayats, and the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, emphasizing the importance of the document, signed a corresponding document submitting the draft State Budget for 2026 to the Mejlis of Turkmenistan for consideration.
