Turkmen students took part in the Peoples' Friendship Parade in Kazan on the Day of Russia


Turkmen students studying in Kazan took part in the Peoples' Friendship Parade, which was held in the Kazan Kremlin on Russia Day. The festive procession gathered representatives of more than 30 nationalities, who passed with folk dances and songs.
"Today is a big holiday — Russia Day. We will witness a big colorful procession," Tatarstan Youth Affairs Minister Rinat Sadykov shared before the start of the parade.
"The multinational youth of Tatarstan in the costumes of their peoples came to the Kremlin to take part in the parade, to show the whole world how united, diverse and friendly we are," said Timur Kadyrov, head of the Youth Assembly of the Peoples of Tatarstan, noting that most of the participants in the parade are activists of youth associations.
Russia Day is one of the main holidays in the country, which has been celebrated annually since 1992. By tradition, on Russia Day in the Kremlin, the President of the country presents the state prizes of the Russian Federation. In Moscow, celebrations are held on Red Square, which end with a festive salute.
Today, on the occasion of Russia Day, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent congratulatory messages to the leadership of the Russian Federation.
