Gardens of the Future in Yokohama and the Turkmen-Japanese Business Forum 2027 in Tokyo

Turkmenistan will host a national pavilion at the prestigious International Horticultural Exhibition "GREEN EXPO 2027," which will be held in Yokohama, Japan, under the motto "Landscape of the Future for Happiness." A national delegation, led by Mergen Gurdov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), discussed preparations for this global event in Japan.
The Turkmen delegation participated in a meeting of international participants, where key organizational issues were discussed, ranging from logistics and management concepts for the national pavilions to the plan for celebrating Turkmenistan's National Day at the exhibition.
Preparations for the exhibition will also serve as a catalyst for bilateral business relations. During talks between Mergen Gurdov and Takafumi Suzuki, Executive Vice President of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), the two sides discussed the possibility of holding the Turkmen-Japanese Business Forum in Tokyo in 2027.

The upcoming meeting will focus on integrating small and medium-sized businesses from both countries, identifying new markets, and bringing high-tech Japanese products to Turkmenistan's private sector.
The head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry discussed the technical aspects of constructing and furnishing the Turkmen exhibition pavilion at a working meeting with Koji Hachiyama, Deputy Secretary General of the GREEN EXPO 2027 Association. The Japanese side confirmed its readiness to provide comprehensive support to ensure that the Turkmenistan pavilion becomes one of the most visible and visited venues at the exhibition.

GREEN EXPO 2027 will take place from March 19 to September 26, 2027, and will bring together dozens of countries to showcase cutting-edge environmental and biosphere solutions. Participation in a forum of this scale will allow Turkmenistan not only to showcase its achievements in landscape design and agriculture but also to cement new economic agreements on the Asian market.
