Türkiye and Kazakhstan Develop the Caspian Route: New Agreements Between State Leaders

President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, emphasized the strategic importance of the Middle Corridor (the Trans-Caspian East–West International Transport Route) in a recent statement. He described this transport artery as a modern equivalent of the ancient Silk Road, noting that its significance for global logistics continues to grow every day.
During a bilateral business forum held in Kazakhstan, the leaders of the two countries conducted high-level talks. As a result of the meetings, 13 important intergovernmental agreements were signed. The new arrangements are aimed at strengthening trade and economic cooperation and cover key sectors such as transport, energy, digital customs systems, education, and the defense industry. Particular attention was given to diversifying energy supplies to global markets.
Erdoğan also highlighted Kazakhstan’s significant achievements in the field of artificial intelligence. Issues related to digital transformation and joint technological projects are expected to become key topics at the upcoming informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States in Turkistan.
This development points to strong economic growth across the region, creating new logistics opportunities and partnership prospects for businesses throughout Central Asia.
