New Technology Lights Path to Future for Energy Institute Students
25.09.2025 | 09:21 |In anticipation of the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence and the 30th anniversary of its permanent neutrality, new facilities have opened at the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan in Mary province. The new additions include a main academic building, a dormitory, a sports complex and a multipurpose building called "Taze Kuvvat."
The 2,000-seat academic building features 18 classrooms, 28 laboratories, computer and linguistics rooms, and specialized halls for robotics, e-sports and artificial intelligence. The building also houses a library, an e-library, a creative development center and conference halls.
The new dormitory can accommodate 800 students. The sports complex includes an indoor hall and various outdoor sports fields.
The new educational spaces are equipped with technology from manufacturers in Germany, Spain, Italy and China, allowing for hands-on learning that closely mimics professional settings. The building's roof is fitted with 132 kilowatts of solar panels for eco-friendly power.
Authorities said the project reflects Turkmenistan's priority on developing education, science and implementing sustainable energy technologies.
The opening coincided with Knowledge Day and the start of the academic year, underscoring the role of the educational system in the country's future.
