Turkmen students undertake Italian language and culture courses in Italy
17.07.2025 | 17:50 |From June 28 to August 2, students from the International University for the Humanities and Development are participating in specialized courses focused on the Italian language and culture. This educational initiative is taking place at the esteemed University for Foreigners of Perugia (Italy), following an invitation from the Italian institution. This collaboration serves to strengthen inter-university cooperation between the two nations.
The University for Foreigners of Perugia stands as one of only two academic institutions in Italy exclusively dedicated to international students. It is an ancient and highly prestigious university, renowned not only for its instruction and research but also for its proactive promotion of the Italian language and the nation's rich cultural heritage. Here, international students can pursue higher education degrees or undertake intensive language courses leading to certification.
For the Turkmen youth, this opportunity extends beyond merely refining their language skills; it provides a profound immersion into the rich tapestry of Italian culture, encompassing its history, literature, art, cinema, lifestyle, traditions, and values. Such exposure to a new culture significantly enriches their personal and educational experience, broadening their perspectives and internal horizons.
Conversely, students from Turkmenistan are also actively engaging with their Italian peers, sharing information about their own nation's rich historical and cultural heritage. This fosters mutual cultural exchange and contributes to the maintenance of a positive international dialogue.
