Turkmenistan and the United Kingdom strengthen academic cooperation
On February 11, 2025, an online meeting took place between representatives of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, higher education institutions of the country, and faculty members of the University of St Andrews in the United Kingdom.
The parties discussed the prospects for academic cooperation between higher education institutions of Turkmenistan and the University of St Andrews. In particular, the possibility of implementing exchange programs for students and teachers, conducting joint research and preparing scientific publications, as well as participating in international academic events was considered.
The Turkmen delegation presented the priority directions for the development of higher education in the country, and representatives of the University of St Andrews, represented by Professors Matteo Fumagalli and Filippo Costa Buranelli from the Faculty of International Relations, confirmed their readiness to strengthen bilateral relations and academic exchange.
