Delegation from Turkmenistan took part in the Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Central Asia
20.11.2024 | 18:55 |Today, 20 November 2024, Bishkek, the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic, hosted the Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Central Asia, which brought together representatives of the academic community and rectors of higher education institutions in the region. The delegation from Turkmenistan was represented by the rectors of the Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan N. Kuliyev, the Turkmen State Financial Institute B. Tanryberdiev and the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly O. Ovezsahedov.
The speeches of rectors of Turkmen universities were dedicated to the successes in the education system of Turkmenistan, large-scale state transformations and historical initiatives under the leadership of the Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The Turkmen delegation's reports detailed the development of the country's first “smart” city Arkadag, which has become a symbol of Turkmenistan's innovative progress, noting that the city, built using the most modern technologies, demonstrates the country's commitment to sustainable development and plays an important role in the educational system. Educational institutions of Arkadag city are equipped with advanced digital solutions, which ensures high quality of students' training.
It was also highlighted that educational institutions of Arkadag city actively cooperate with international partners, introducing academic mobility programs and innovative approaches to training specialists in engineering, IT and ecology. The city has become a vivid example of successful combination of future technologies and national traditions.
The speeches of the Turkmen delegation paid special attention to the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the great poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi. The forum participants were told about the large-scale scientific and cultural work dedicated to this remarkable date. International scientific conferences, literary contests and research projects are being held both in Turkmenistan and abroad to popularize Magtymguly’s legacy as a national symbol and inspiring example for today's youth.
The importance of Magtymguly’s legacy in educating the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism, humanism and respect for their roots was also emphasized. The initiative to translate the works of the great poet into foreign languages, which helps strengthen Turkmenistan's cultural relations with the world community, was particularly noted.
At the end of the event, the forum participants highly appreciated the information presented and expressed readiness to deepen cooperation with the universities of Turkmenistan, recognizing their contribution to the development of regional and international academic partnership.
